Scarlet Cord

Scarlet Cord was started in 2011 as a brothel prayer ministry of Damascus Road Project. We matched a commercially sexually exploited girl working in one of the legal brothels in Nevada with a prayer sponsor.

 At any given time there are 19-25 legal brothels in operation in the state of Nevada. Prostitution is legal in parts of Nevada, it is illegal outside these licensed brothels. Prostitution is illegal under state law in Clark County, which contains Las Vegas and its metropolitan area.

Today, this prayer ministry has been modified so that those who adopt a girl in prayer are praying for a girl that we are serving right here at home.

 The prayer sponsor prays for safety, restoration, addictions to be broken, freedom from her past, financial stability, healing for her mind, body and soul. We ask God to help her to be resistant to deception, manipulation, isolation and that she would feel God's presence.  We pray that she know her self-worth and find hope and ultimately salvation.
